OKAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!  The time is here.  I know u all know I appeared on the Tyra Banks show last fall.  It is finally airing on June 8, 2006 at 2pm on UPN ch. 31.  Not sure how they edited it but should be very fun to watch!

Finally Loving School!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Fear....I only have need for someone to perm now....then I am on to Level 2!!!

I had my aunt come in last week and gave her some platinum highlights and filled in her outgrowth.  She looked FABULOUS!  I almost couldnt believe I did it!

Anyway, I have a renewed excitement for school now.  I dont dread it all the time.  Just some of the time.

I wanted to take the opportunity to ask u all to pray for my mother in law.  She has a heart condition that has taken a turn for the worst.  She goes in for open heart surgery this Friday at 9am.   I would appreciate LOTS of prayer for her and for the surgery to be an absolute success. I'll update my post after then.  Her name is Adele.  Thank u for your prayers.

HATING THE WEATHER!

So it is about a week since my re-entry into school.  I am really enjoying myself now.  I stopped taking so much too seriously and am just trying to catch up.  I did a chemical relaxer on my husband on Sat.  We'll have to redo it because his scalp started burning.....yikes..sorry honey.  So we didnt get too much curl out of his hair.  I am needing a real person sign off for a weave and a perm....so if anyone needs one.  LET ME DO IT!  I can use large barrell rods it doesnt have to be a kinky perm, just a wave.  Anyway, my mom took some more shots of me and hubby yesterday, cant wait to see them.  Her site is passiondove.   Check it out!!!!  They are amazing photographers.

Cosmo School update!

Hey guys!  Well, I began Elite Cosmetology School in Jan.  It has been an interesting ride.  Being in the professional world and being EEK....30....I am going to school with a bunch of 18 year olds and DRAMA.  I began to forget what the ultimate goal and prize was for attending school.  It  is 10 months full time, Tues - Sat. 9-5:30.  Anyways, I have missed the last three weeks deciding whether or not this is really the road for me, do I go back to an industry that I know like the back of my hand (administrative asst.) and begin to work on starting a family or continue in the gift that was literally given to me.  I was picked last Sept to be on the Tyra Banks show for the topic of "Women Turning 30...have u done all u thought you would have by now".  On the show, I was presented with tuition paid in FULL>....Yikes...that is about $12 grand.  Anyway, long story short, (sorry), just spoke with the director of the school yesterday and word is I am welcome to return and finish my schooling. It is really strict over there about missing too much school w/out an excuse or reason. 

So...I am stoked today because I return tomorrow.  Today is my last day of freedom til I graduate and/or take my state board tests.  So.....if u live in the Sac area, come to the school and let me at your hair...I can wax, do nails, whatever the school offers.

RESURFACING FINALLY

Hello everyone!  It's been quite a while since my last entry.  I finally got internet at my house so I am a little surfer girl today.  Since my last entry, (my birthday) URG.... We have moved to Folsom, CA and I began Elite Cosmetology in the middle of Jan.  It is interesting.  I have met some really sweet girls.  My friend Kerri Roades attends with me.  I have already been doing full weaves, (on my mom) and haircuts on the rest of my family.  I love it, I just gotta get through the process of school.  I hate that part.  Ya gotta do what ya gotta do..., I wish I could get some pics out of my camera onto this thing but I think I am missing some part that I need to get that process done....I suck.  Oh well. Hope your all doing well, and I hope to get up and running on this thing more and more.  I would love to hear from my friends from days gone by.  I know there's been alot of opinions and hurt people along the way in my life, to those people let me just say, it has been rough for me and my fam too.  Life takes turns and twists and yes, some are self inflicted and some are inevitable.  All I can say is God is good and redeeming and I am banking on that fact in my life.  To those I have hurt along the way, I really do love you and hope that my shortcomings and stumbling, falling and gaping wounds and lessons learned the very hard way haven't completely ruined all those relationships.  Anyway, ending on a happy note....trying anyway.....come see me at Elite to do your hair!!  I dont suck, I promise....
